JPC has extensive experience in the world of drag racing. Here is a selection of our client's cars.

Geoff Kelly's VK Commodore twin turbo

Geoff's Holden is powered by a 400ci Chev utlilising JPC plain bearing turbos. Also tuned by JPC, the VK is mechanically injected running methanol fuel and transmits power through a TH400 and 9-inch rear end. Geoff's best time to date is 8.37 at 163mph.

Vas Stojanovski's VL Calais turbo

Powered by a SOHC RB30 Nissan 6-cylinder, Vas' car was the first VL turbo into the 8-second zone and has run a best of 8.54 at 161mph on 29.5x10.5-inch slicks in 2002. The VL features a JPC built engine and custom turbo combination that creates over 550kW on JPC's chassis dyno. Engine management is from an Autronic system with power transferred through a KEAS 2-speed powerglide and 9-inch rear end.

Paul Stanek’s Datsun 1200 coupe

The Datsun is long gone but at the time of competition it was one of the quickest 4-clyinders in Australia and still is to this day. Powered by a 400+kW Nissan FJ20 2-litre engine, Paul’s little Datsun ran a best of 8.52 at 158mph through a 2-speed Powerglide.

Paul Murray’s Mazda RX3 coupe

Paul’s Mazda was far ahead of it’s time and ran numbers that others could only dream of on small tyres. Powered by a methanol fueled 13B turbo engine, the RX3 was one of the first cars in Australia to trial a TA series truck turbo, and with much success. In 2001 Paul shifted his way to a best of 9.02 at 159mph on 26x8.5-inch slicks. Paul's racing spirit will never be forgotten.

Kris Velkovski's RB30 LC Torana

Kris’ Torana is one of Australia’s quickest genuinely street driven cars. The old Holden red motor is long since removed and in its place is a JPC prepped Nissan RB30 Skyline engine featuring JPC manifolding, GT40 turbo and an Autronic/MSD fuel and ignition system. The Torana has run a 9.51 at 143mph using a completely standard bottom end. Since then JPC has fitted forged rods and pistons with times dropping to 9.21 at 149mph on small 26x8.5-inch slicks and still using a foot brake (no trans-brake is fitted to this car). The RB30 has seen as much as 460kW on JPC’s chassis dyno. Kris has also run the car in full street trim (unleaded fuel and radial tyres) for a best of 9.9 at 137mph.

Vince & Michael's VL turbo

The brother's have seen strong results in just a handful of test & tune meetings. The VL is powered by a JPC RB30 single cam engine retaining a mild head and stage 2 hydraulic camshaft. Tuned at JPC, the VL makes 500kW to the ground and so far has returned a 8.96 at 157mph, already making it one of the quickest single cam's in the country.

Sam Cianciaruso’s VL turbo

Sam’s VL proves that you can still run quick on a budget. The engine still retains factory manifolding, plenum and throttle body. A Garrett GT35/40 turbo and tuned by JPC has seen Sam run 10.20 at 130mph.
