Dyno tuning a Nissan Patrol TB48 4.8L six. The engine is now rebuilt with forged pistons and rods and features a custom JPC turbo at 10psi boost and MoTeC EFI. Not built for outright power, but instead good throttle response and reliability the engine will be going into an off-road dirt truck. Initially making close to 600Ib.ft at just 3000rpm, torque was backed off for the truck’s first shake down runs. A final figure of 559hp was achieved, not bad for a low boost application.
