Kris Velkovski’s LC Torana has run a new personal best in full street trim. The car is powered by a JPC Nissan RB30 SOHC turbo combination pushing around 365kW to the wheels on 98 unleaded. In full street trim with a full exhaust and street radial tyres Kris ran 9.58 at 141mph.The car has gone as quick as 9.21 at 149mph many years ago on slicks and race fuel and Kris will be looking to better this soon.
Joel’s Toyota Supra was at Heathcote Raceway recently for the Christmas Challenge. A genuinely quick street car, Joel drove to the track from Colac running as quick as 10.40 at 139mph before driving the car home again (around 600km round trip). Joel’s car is boosted by a custom JPC turbocharger and Autronic dyno tuned on just 20psi boost on premium unleaded fuel, full exhaust and drag radial tyres.
A big congratulations to Daniel Camilleri who has become the first VL single cam Nissan RB30 into the 7-second zone. Prio to the weekend Daniel’s VL had gone 8.12 at 169mph and Daniel bettered that with a lifting 7.88 at 149mph.
The car is powered by a mechanically injected twin turbo setup and features custom JPC turbochargers, JPC cast inlet manifold as well as a JPC camshaft and oil pump gears.
John Tamba’s VL also continues to improve. The car has been running very consistent and has gone a quickest personal best pass of 8.80 at 158mph.
Congrats to John Tamba who’s immacualte VL Commodore ran a perosnal best pass of 8.931 at 156.86mph. The car is powered by an RB30 turbo engine, custom JPC turbocharger, JPC inlet manifold and rockers as well as an Autronic ECU. John ran the time on 26in slicks and std rear suspension.
Bill Kakaras’ twin turbo Fox Body Mustang keeps on improving. At Calder Park on Sunday Bill ran 8.24 @ 180mph first pass. The Ford is tuned via an Autronic computer.
